Daiichi Sankyo's training professionals are committed to developing and enhancing core industry competencies through an innovative learning environment. The company provides a solid foundation for success while incorporating vital aspects of the corporate culture. Training programs have a real-world focus and are designed to meet the needs of all pharmaceutical representatives, from the novice to the seasoned professional.
Daiichi Sankyo offers a multi-phased sales training program:
- New Hire Training begins the day a representative joins Daiichi Sankyo. This phase is characterized by extensive self-paced learning that includes individual study coupled with significant Field Manager interaction. This initial training will help to prepare a new representative to compete in the pharmaceutical industry through various industry acclimation tools such as medical pronunciation tapes, basic science primers, and more specialized product-learning systems.
- Primary Training is the next phase of training a representative receives as part of the initial sales training. This three-week training class utilizes a highly interactive format by providing extensive product knowledge and real-world role-play sessions, often with the participation of Daiichi Sankyo's executive management.
- Advanced Training is offered to representatives with more than one year of experience at Daiichi Sankyo. During Advanced Training, representatives share their successes and best practices, while significantly expanding their product and disease-state knowledge and approaches to pharmaceutical selling.
- Specialty Training at Daiichi Sankyo provides comprehensive Hospital and Oncology sales force specific training. Since these representatives are often industry veterans concentrating on a specialized area, disease state, or institutional selling, they receive individualized training focused on their area of expertise.
Daiichi Sankyo representatives are trained by energetic and knowledgeable instructors whose industry experience provides a valuable learning environment. Daiichi Sankyo's belief in inclusion and respect for the contributions of all employees frames its corporate culture, and this culture is evident from the first day of the training experience.
In addition to one-on-one and classroom instructional training, Daiichi Sankyo has implemented web-based and distance learning programs. This training effectively prepares representatives in the areas of anatomy, physiology, disease state and pharmaceutical selling.
Daiichi Sankyo's training process is designed to provide employees with the tools, knowledge, and skills they need to be successful in the workplace. Since employees' personal growth and development leads to Daiichi Sankyo's growth as well, Daiichi Sankyo is fully committed to training programs that exceed the industry standard.
