		<description><![CDATA[Auto req ID 3871BR<br>Job Title Manager, Informatics<br>Functional Area Research & Development<br>City Edison<br>State New Jersey<br>Job Description<br>Job Summary:<br><br>We are currently seeking a Manager, Informatics for our Edison, NJ location. This position will manage Informatics projects and provide informatics support and services in support of the business functions of Daiichi Sankyo, Inc., globally in the EU, the US, Japan and India. These business functions include: Biostatistics and Data Operations, Translational Medicine & Clinical Pharmacology, Clinical Operations & Development, Development Research, Regulatory Operations/ Clinical Safety & Pharmacovigilance, Global Project Management and Leadership, Operational Management, Alliance Management, and Finance. Provides technical support and training for the operational aspects of informatics applications and systems at Daiichi Sankyo (DS).<br><br>Responsibilities:<br><br>In this role, you will provide Informatics project management of ongoing projects (using MS Project) and SDLC Quality Model expertise to deliver applications solutions to meet business needs; provide system and applications administration and training for platforms supported by Informatics, including but not limited to BDR, MS&P, etc.; provide management and administration of software, centralized license inventory and processing, vendor invoice processing, and software installations; and provide software research and work with User Support Leads and the business users to define user information needs, verification and documentation of user <b>Requirements</b>.<br><br>Additionally, you will provide reports required to monitor the progress and status of informatics projects, ensuring timelines are met or adjusted according to project teams? expectations and project life cycles, and update both management and project teams on a regular basis.<br><br>Education/Experience<br><br>Qualified candidatees must have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Life science, Engineering, Business Administration and / or a related discipline is required.Masters Degree in Life Science or Engineering or Information systems is preferred.<br><br>At least 4 years experience in working in pharmaceutical industry clinical research and development with its regulatory constraints, preferably with experience in 21 CFR Part 11; participating in multi-discipline implementation teams to deliver information systems on budget and against aggressive timelines; experience working with senior level scientific and/or professional staff in the Drug Development/Discovery area on the implementation and use of computer-based technologies; working with software and information technology providers; MS Project, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Word; working knowledge of SDLC; and end-user support.<br><br>Ability to define, select and implement robust regulatory-compliant information systems solutions to support drug development. Understanding of scientific enterprise and business requirements gathering. Detail-oriented; ability to work independently.<br><br>Diplomatic and assertive user-facing skills (to manage and meet user expectations).<br><br>Business and technical problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis, SWOT, and risk analysis.<br><br>Strong and persuasive interpersonal skills (to obtain cooperation across multiple functional areas ? both internal and external ? for on-time and on-budget project implementation). Strong oral and written communication skills.<br><br>Demonstrated technical skills in computer development environment (e.g., SQL, MySQL, R, S-Plus, SAS, Oracle, Perl, InforSense).<br>PMP certification; Accreditation with a relevant Domain informatics professional body; and Travel to DS locations which will include overnight travel.]]></description>
