Job Description Job Summary: We currently have an opening for a Senior Analyst, Field Analytics in our Parsippany, NJ office. This position supports the development of sales force performance metrics, provides analytic support for business, franchise and sales organization assessments, and performs all activities related to the development and validation of Sales Operations related reports, analyses, ad-hoc queries, and production reports to support Sales Operations, Sales Management, Field Sales, Marketing, Market Planning, and Market Research. This position will provide analytic support to senior sales management regarding various sales initiatives/targeting efforts. This position will develop and maintain reporting and testing standards for the department and monitor compliance with these standards. The Senior Analyst will also provide support and oversight to other Reporting Analysts and Market Research/Planning Analysts for the development of reports, analyses, and ad-hoc queries. Additionally, this position will act as the key “go to person” for resolving reporting and report testing issues and will interpret key business reports providing business insights/cause effect pertaining to the reported information.

Responsibilities: The Senior Analyst, Field Analytics will support, lead, and develop field sales analytic solutions for sales management in support of business initiatives. Analyses include trend analyses, ROI, etc. Data includes syndicated and other secondary third-party data sources. Will provide value-add analysis, prepare regular presentations and reports highlighting market insights, trends, variance, etc. for management, and giving interpretations of the information being reported. Will work with business and where appropriate, IT to develop and execute test scripts and provide support during user acceptance testing activities. Will develop and unit test reports as per the Requirements. Will be responsible for non-production reporting/analyses to determine scope, effort and timelines for report/analysis development and translate business needs into reporting/analysis requirements.

Education/Experience: Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Business Administration, Quantitative Methods, Market Research, Information Management or a related field. MBA is preferred. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a Sales Operations function in the pharmaceutical industry, and 3-4 years of experience that should include report development and sales analytics. Must have systems experience with 2 of 4 of the following: decision support, data warehousing, management reporting and sales force automation. Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Syndicated Data (a plus), such as IMS' DDD, Xponent/Xponent Plantrak and analytical software, SPSS or SAS, Dendrite SFA (a plus) and Business Objects is required. Must have demonstrated analytical skills, excellent customer service, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Must be proficient in the application of personal computers and software, including extensive experience with report writing applications and the Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to manage multiple projects effectively using multi- disciplinary resources to meet project and timeline demands and experience interacting with outside vendors.
